Relational will comes in three flavors: voluntary, involuntary and non-voluntary.
Voluntary will is an action taken with no outside influence. It happens when you take control, like when an argument is turning into a fight. In case you didn’t know, fighting is bad. So you give yourself a time-out and QUIETLY say “I’m not going to fight” and walk away.
Involuntary will happens when the guests’ arrive so the argument is postponed.
If the guests, who just arrived have to separate you, that would be a non-voluntary end to your argument and an obstacle hosting future dinner parties.
The Koala message.
